Simon Bush is Professor and Chair of the Environmental Policy Group at Wageningen University in the Netherlands.
He is the author of over 70 academic papers on the sustainable and equitable production of global seafood.
Simon’s recent publications investigate the politics of global fish production, with a specific focus on the role of market-based sustainability arrangements such as certification and private sector-led fishery improvement projects, including traceability.
He is currently the principle investigator of two projects researching the role of the private sector in the sustainable management of tuna fisheries in Southeast Asia and the Western Pacific.
