Since its incorporation in 1992, Satlink as an engineering company has made a permanent commitment in developing the most technically advanced solutions for the fishing industries in order to contribute to a sustainable fishing. Our state of the art fishing buoys, VMS, ERS and Electronic Monitoring systems are well positioned in the market and have been accepted by governments, fishing companies and official Fishing Authorities.


Since more than a  decade ago Satlink has been working together with tuna fishing companies worldwide developing systems to optimize and sustain the fishery resources, reducing the impact of fishing over associated tuna species, keeping an environmentally friendly perspective as a rule.


Faustino Velasco was graduated in Economics and got a Master degree in International Trade. In 1992 he founded Satlink where actually is sharing membership functions with the CEO owner figure. Faustino has always been very involved with the fishing world and industry and has actively participated in the implementation of the VMS system (Vessel Monitoring System) in Spain, Ecuador, Ireland and Panama. During these last years has worked very closely with associations like OPAGAC as well as with other tuna fishing companies worldwide in order to keep developing the most technically advanced systems in order to improve sustainable fishing. Thanks to this collaboration and commitment with sustainable fishing Satlink has developed the Electronic Observer System (SeaTube).
