Alberto is the CEO at Calvo Group American Division, a leading fast moving consumer goods group of companies. He is responsible for running all the facets of the business, and has proven his executive managerial expertise, leading the company’s development over the last 8 years, driving important sales growth and diversification.
Previously Alberto was the Control Director at Calvo Group in Madrid, where he was responsible for planning, budgeting and reporting, as well as analyzing M&A opportunities. He participated in the acquisition of GDC by Calvo Group in 2004, intermediating between all internal and external advisors.
Prior to joining Calvo Group, he was a Senior Auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Madrid, acting as team leader in several auditing and due diligence processes with a variety of different industries.
Alberto has a degree in Economics by the Universidad Autónoma of Madrid, and he is a legal Chartered Auditor in Spain. He has participated in several trainings about Management Tools and has implemented in GDC a Management System based on Total Quality Management and Balanced Scorecard, aligned with the FNQ (Fundação Nacional da Qualidade), focused on creating value for all the company’s stakeholders.
Alberto is a member of the Consultancy Board of ABIA (Brazilian Food Industry Association) and also a member of the Managing Board of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Brazil.
